ILR qualifying period for Dependents (SW + GT)

Post by Dreamer10 » Tue Sep 19, 2023 8:19 pm

Hello Everyone,

I am aware that the main applicant can combine time on skilled worker and global talent to qualify for ILR.
Can their dependents also combine their time spent as dependent of skilled worker and dependent of global talent visa holder to qualify for their ILR?
I tried to find the answer in the UKVI documents but to no avail.
Any leads will be highly appreciated.

Thank you!

Dear CR001,

Thank you very much for your response.

By any chance, did you ever come across any official documents where this is mentioned?

Dependant visas issued under SW or GTV routes are technically not PBS dependant visas. It is that time spent previously under PBS dependant route counts for ILR as a dependant under SW or GTV rules.

Under GTV route, the dependants do NOT even need to have been issued GTV dependant visa at all.

Thank you Zimba for the information.

In this case, dependents would be using 2.5 years as SW dependent and the other 2.5 years as the global talent dependent.

After yours and CR001 advice, I am quite confident that this should work.

Thank you Both.

Need some guidance on qualifying period dates

Post by Dreamer10 » Tue Apr 02, 2024 3:58 pm

Hi All,

I am preparing for my ILR application (Skilled worker + global talent).

I am not sure about the start of my qualifying period.

Entry clearance vignette says valid from '05/07/21'

BRP says date of issue '21-06-2-21'.

Which count should I count as the start of my qualifying period?

Thanks.
