Do I need apply ILR for my kids query

Post by novice_2023 » Sun Sep 01, 2024 10:45 pm

Hi,
I am in a situation where I need help.
I have a British passport , and my family 2 kids and my wife are eligible for ILr .
They have stayed in uk for 7 years now .
I have a question, do I need to apply for my kids ILR also.
I was told by someone that , I can apply for my wife’s ILr and immediately can apply for her passport ( once ILR is approved ) as I ( she was my dependent) have British passport.

Ps - both my kids were born outside UK .
Now once both parents receive passport , my both kids need not apply for ILR and and can directly apply for passport username MN1 .

Is this possible ?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Only if they were in UK for 10 years. Otherwise, they need ILR first.

A valid BRP is also evidence of her UK Immigration status.
