Tier 2 General partner to ILR

Post by pradders » Thu Dec 12, 2024 12:29 pm

Hi - Hope you are well. Please could some one help with queries regarding my wife's ILR application.

I was granted ILR in Nov 2022 through the Tier 2 general route(Nov 2017 - Nov 2022), My wife joined me in the UK only in May 2019 and we are now applying for her ILR after completing 5+ years(current visa valid till oct 2026). I would like to check on the below

1. SET O is the correct application
2. she has proved her english language eligibility in a tier 2 general application back in 2014, though I mentioned " Yes" in the application form for this question("Have you provided evidence of your English language ability in a previous application?") , the application still asks for English language skills to be proved through a degree or English test. English test completed in 2014 is not valid any more.(University of Cambridge ESOL exams- B1 level). Do we need to take a test again now because getting a UK ECCTIS certificate based on degree is going to take some time for us.
3. there is no mention of cohabitation documents asked in the final page. It asks only for passports, BRP and English test. Do I still need to provide this?

Thanks for your time, please clarify. This will be very useful for us

1. Correct
2. New SELT at B1 is needed
3. Yes. Read: All you need to know about cohabitation evidence
