ILR for child

Post by modon » Fri Apr 25, 2025 3:34 pm

Me and my spouse are on Tier 2 General/Skilled Worker Visa and will be eligible for ILR in July 2025. Our child was born in August 2022. Do we need to make ILR application for our child or can we apply for the child's naturalisation after we receive our ILR?

I'm assuming the child was born in the UK.

If yes, then child's registration would be correct.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

Thanks, yes, the child was born in the UK. By registration, do you mean naturalisation?

Children are Registered as British. Only adults are Naturalised.
