Document Uploading

Post by PN1991 » Thu Sep 05, 2024 7:47 pm

Hi all,

I am looking through the UKVCAS website regarding what documents they want me to upload, and I am confused. The requirements seem to overlap, and so it seems strange to upload the same document twice.

For example - what is the difference between uploading:
1. Current Biometric Residence Permit for [Myself]
2. Evidence of [My] immigration status in the UK
What else should I upload for number 2?

&

What is the difference between uploading:
1. Document(s) showing that you are able to work and intend to take or seek employment in the UK.
2. If you are employed at the date of application, please provide a letter from your current employer which confirms they will continue in their current job with that employer.
I plan to upload my wage slips, and my job contract for #1, and a letter from my employer basically stating the same thing for #2. Is that alright?

Also,

- It isn't stated, but is it worth adding anything like a CV, a letter from landlord, a tenancy agreement.

- What about a cover letter?

- As well, I don't see anywhere about passport photos, but I thought this might be a requirement?

Thanks soooo much again for answering my tedious questions. There's a lot at stake, and I just wish things were a bit more clear.

Best,
Phil

Topics merged again. Please, it is not necessary to post a new topic with every question. Keep all questions on the same application in ONE topic!

Not everyone has a BRP card. You only need that if you have one.

Fine. Point 1 not relevant as only applies to entry clearance visa applications.

NOT required. Do NOT submit a whole bunch of unnecessary documents.

Digital photos and fingerprints are taken at your biometric appointment with UKCVAS.
