5 year Tier 2 route - 60 days gap in employment

I recently lost my job and am looking for new employment. If there is a gap of more than 60 days between jobs, does it break ILR continuity?

If the gap applies, does it count between last day of old job and first day of new job, or the first day of the application for new leave?

Yes

Up to the day of the new application, assuming such application is subsequently successful

Thanks zimba for your reply, appreciate it.

Does the same criteria also apply to the Long Stay 10 year route? Since my colleague is also in a similar position but he will qualify for ILR on the 10 year route, not 5 year like me

Yes unless he applies for SET(LR) with the 60 days

Hi Zimba an additional question. If said application wasn't successful and a new application was made immediately after admin review of first application was done, this time after the 60 day deadline has passed, would it break the continuity?
