ILR 10 year route - Funding Requirement when on tier 4 ?

Hi everyone,

I am confused whether or not there is a requirement to have a funding/maintenance when I apply for the ILR - 10 year route.

I have read some topics but couldn't find a concrete answer to my situation.

Background:

I came to UK in 2007, October on student visa. Completed bachelors in 4 years. Then stayed and worked under Post Study work visa for 2 years. Then Worked under Tier 2 visa for 3 years. Currently I am doing a masters degree. By the time I complete my masters, I will have stayed in UK for 10 years (October, 2017). I intend to apply for ILR the day I complete my 10 years in UK. I still have a good 4 months of student visa left after the ILR 10 year completion date. (My student visa expires in January, 2018).

Concern:

When I apply for my ILR, is the a funding/maintenance requirement? During my studies, I was facing financial hardship - due to having a good credit score and excellent history with my bank, I was able to take up quite a sizable amount of loan which I plan to pay back when I will be in full time employment after my degree. This loan won't show up in my bank statement if last 3 months statement was asked for at the time of application. There is no way I can possibly pay the total loan back before my application. So, my question is, is it a requirement that I have total unencumbered positive balance at the time of my application?

Please someone help!

There is not maintenance requirement for ILR LR. No requirement to submit bank statements either. But you must make sure you don't have CCJs etc.
