i have passed my ielts back in june 2011 and submittted with my student visa extension as per above i am applying for settlement set (lr) do i need to do the test again as it says on ukba website u dont have to resit if u have passed ielts and its expired the only condition is it should be on current list of recognised test and submitted with valid application and i do have this both also if i want to do the test i cant cause my passport is with homeoffice and its expired and i am going for my peo appointment on wed 21st can you please give me some information if its going to be ok to use my expired ielts as i dont have a valid passport and i cant resit the exam because of this and will this effect my ilr application thanks in advance

As you sat the test before October 2013 you will need to retake B1 level English from an UKVI approved test provider.

Also:
What if my passport is held by the Home
Office and I don’t have a valid Biometric
Residence Permit or EU Identity Card?
You should contact the Home Office to request
the return of your passport. If you have, or you
are given, a photocopy of your passport the test
centre will not allow you to sit the test.

Thanks for the information casa just like to ask i have booked same day appointment for wed 21st june for ilr if i rescheduled the appointment and then request my passport to sit for the exam even if my passport is expired can i still take the test please advise thanks

HI, Casa. Could you gives me a link to proof that ielts test sat before oct 2013 isn't valid anymore.

I am in same boot, as ho hold my passport so I can't sit another test now.

According to my friend they use 6 years old ielts certificate and still grant ilr last year!

Your right i just got ilr yesterday with an expired ielts 2011 i went for same day service.

Thanks for your reply, do you have any degree certificate to go with you application , or you just use 2011 ielts certificate to proof your language requirements?

And could you please tell me you 2011 ielts test centre is still on the most recently home office approved centre?

Nothing just had my diploma and expired ielts and life in uk certificate with application form and a covering letter plus i had 2 ccj which i mentioned too i went 11;30 done my biometrics by 1pm and got my decision 16:40 pm hope this helps

No ita not i done my ielts with sussex down college which is not in the list anymore

Its just a basic diploma in travel tourism from abe which is a awarding body whatevr u fo make sure ur covering letter is good thats the maon thing
