I am on TIER 2 (ICT)

TIER 2 (ICT) ESTABLISHED STAFF: FROM : 16 APR 2010 (3 Years)
1st Extension : T2 ICT LONG TERM LEAVE TO REMAIN VALID UNITIL : 20 APR 2015 (2 Years)
2nd Extension : T2 ICT LONG TERM LEAVE TO REMAIN VALID UNITIL : 13 MAR 2018 (3 Years)

So I am asking for help from everyone as I am not sure , if I file for extension now in Dec 2017 (it will take 8 weeks to process) from my company they said ;I will get 2 years extension but I am not sure what will be the end date ?

If they give 2 years from 13 MAR 2018 then it will be 13 MAR 2020 so I will be short from one month for 10 years. In this case will be eligible for ILR ?

The visa start date is usually from the date of the decision. It does not get 'tagged' onto the last date of your current visa if the decision is made before your visa expires.

Apply for an extension in February or March.

On what date did you APPLY for the first visa, was it on or after 6th April 2010??

On what date did you ENTER the UK in 2010??

Hi,
I must have applied visa after 6th April 2010? I also raised SAR request but it says I applied in India on 13th April 2010, so I missed 5 years route to ILR.

I entered UK on 28th April 2010 but Work Permit start date was 15 APR 2010.

You will be short of more than 1 month for long residence ILR if you get a visa decision quickly and it is granted with a start date before 13th March 2018. The earliest you can apply for ILR LR is 1st or 2nd April 2020.

It costs the same money for your company if they extend to say 2 years and 3 months rather than an exact 2 years.
Might be worth checking with your immigration team.

Hello once again, I asked my company and they are saying as per company internal policy they will only apply for 2 years.

Now my question is if my current Visa expiry date is 13 March 2018 and if I get only till 13 March 2020 (i.e. 2 years) I will be again short with one month in total 10 years.

Will I be able to file for ILR ? as my original Start date was 15 APR 2010 - 13 March 2020 ?

Long residence ILR starts from the date you ENTERED the UK and NOT the date the visa started.

You should apply as close as possible to your visa expiry date. If your extension is approved, the date of the visa is the approval date, not the date after your visa expired.

This assumes you can be on ICT for 10 years and are not restricted to the 9 year limit.

I have one small query on ILR although I need to wait for 2 years from now.

Long residence is counted from the date you ENTERED the UK.

Read the Set(LR) form and guidance notes.

Not sure why you felt the need to start a new topic asking the same questions (click) when you had one (now merged) where you have been answered already in January.
