Successful ILR with Speeding Conviction in Court - 2018

Hi all,

My ILR has just been approved and thought I will share my experience hoping it helps somebody.

First Tier 2 visa: 19th March 2013
Eligible for ILR: 19th March 2018

Stopped by police for speeding & not wearing my glasses: 20 July 2016
Attended Court: 22 March 2017

Conviction 1: SP30 - £390 Fine - 6 points
Conviction 2: LC20 - forgot to wear my glasses but no separate penalty for this however my license was endorsed with these codes.

ILR Premium Appointment: 16 June 2018 at Solihull PEO

Mentioned both convictions on my SET (O) form in section 7 and submitted following documents:

1. 3 months Bank Statements
2. 3 Payslips
3. P60 for 2018
4. Life in the UK pass certificate
5. Employer Letter confirming:
5.1. Employed since
5.2. SOC Code and Salary
5.3. Still required in the role for foreseeable future
5.4. List of absences from the UK
6. M.Sc Degree Certificate
7. 2 Passport Pictures
8. Basic DBS check certificate

ILR appointment: 9:30am
Entered PEO: 9:00am
Security check done: 09:05am
Payment successful check: 09:07am
Called for Handing over documents: 9:30am
Called for Biometrics: 9:55am
Phone call to confirm docs ready for collection: 11:25am
Given the good news: 11:35am 😁

Only conviction recorded on your criminal record will lead to ILR refusal not all court fins/endorsements :!:
However they could affect your citizenship application
