Successful ILR with Speeding Conviction in Court - 2018

Post by amit.verhani » Sat Jun 16, 2018 10:40 pm

Hi all,

My ILR has just been approved and thought I will share my experience hoping it helps somebody.

First Tier 2 visa: 19th March 2013
Eligible for ILR: 19th March 2018

Stopped by police for speeding & not wearing my glasses: 20 July 2016
Attended Court: 22 March 2017

Conviction 1: SP30 - £390 Fine - 6 points
Conviction 2: LC20 - forgot to wear my glasses but no separate penalty for this however my license was endorsed with these codes.

ILR Premium Appointment: 16 June 2018 at Solihull PEO

Mentioned both convictions on my SET (O) form in section 7 and submitted following documents:

1. 3 months Bank Statements
2. 3 Payslips
3. P60 for 2018
4. Life in the UK pass certificate
5. Employer Letter confirming:
5.1. Employed since
5.2. SOC Code and Salary
5.3. Still required in the role for foreseeable future
5.4. List of absences from the UK
6. M.Sc Degree Certificate
7. 2 Passport Pictures
8. Basic DBS check certificate

ILR appointment: 9:30am
Entered PEO: 9:00am
Security check done: 09:05am
Payment successful check: 09:07am
Called for Handing over documents: 9:30am
Called for Biometrics: 9:55am
Phone call to confirm docs ready for collection: 11:25am
Given the good news: 11:35am 😁

I cannot thank this forum enough. This has been my go to place ever since I moved to the UK. Thank you to all the members, some of you dont even know how much your posts have helped other people in similar situations.

I would be happy to answer any questions any of you might have - please feel free to email me at email address removed by moderator

Wishing everyone all the best in your immigration journey.

Email address should be removed and as per forum rules it is not allowed to be posted.

There are many scammers that also trawl these sights for information like this.

Congratulations 🎊.
These are my 'views' and 'opinions'.
If in doubt always seek professional advice, or at least do a search for the relevant information. :P

If i make any mistakes, You are more than welcome to correct me.

Oh. I wasnt aware of it.

I can see email address has been removed from my original post but it shows in your quoted reply.

Are you able to remove it from your reply too? Or remove this post entirely please?

Only conviction recorded on your criminal record will lead to ILR refusal not all court fins/endorsements :!:
However they could affect your citizenship application
