ILR Absences Entry/Departure Days

Hi
I am applying for ILR (through Tier-2 route). I have had some annual leave absences for which the days of entry to and/or departure from the UK are not actually covered by annual leave. So my absence report from my employer would not include these entry/departure dates. Will this be a problem?

YOur employer should be able to confirm your absences. I understand your entry or departure dates might be on a weekend which is not part of official paid annual leave. in such cases, your employers should still be able to confirm them. If the employer's letter doesn't match your true dates, you might need to add a cover letter to your application explaining why. Shouldn't be a big deal.

Actually, some of these entry/departure dates are working days not weekends.

If they were week days, were you working for the company on the day? it shouldn't matter whether it's a weekend or week day. Your employer should be able to confirm your absences. So if your departure day wasn't a weekend and it wasn't part of your annual leave and not a business trip, you might need to explain better why your exit/entry days were not part of your annual leave and they were not weekends, to make it easier to get contributions from the forum members.

Sorry if I have caused any confusion, I did not take these days as annual leave as I did work (remotely using my laptop) during these travel days.

All absences must be stated.

Have you employer simply do something like this:
Departed 12/12/17, returned 07/01/18: annual leave
Precise days don't matter (i.e it doesn't matter if you were working on 12/12/17).

Would you agree that having the employer put down entry and exit dates rather than the exact dates of annual leave would be fine?
Just checking for my own purposes too, as I once left on a Sunday but annual leave was from the Monday. Employer put the Sunday as "date of departure".
ILR not for a while though.

For absences from the UK, do we need dates for EVERY SINGLE overseas trip taken out of the UK, since one started living here. Even if it was a few days for work, a weekend break etc.
I travel minimum once a month and have lived here for 8 years. thats a lot of entries

If it's 5 year route, you will need to put EVERY SINGLE overseas trip, even if it was when you flew out in morning and came back same day.
