Hi,

ILR Application using old premium service
Post by Shw » Sun Jan 13, 2019 12:00 am
Hi All,
I have submitted my SET (o) ilr application using 5 year Tier 2 dependant route today I.e. 12/01/2019. It gave me 2 options new and existing service. I opted for Glasgow PSC using existing service and booked apointment for 31/01/2019. Online it says old premium service centres have closed, so I am confused how did I get an appointment? Also, using this service, will I get the decision same day as it use to be earlier? Or are there any changes? Ideally, I would prefer an appointment in England, are there any chances I could find more appointments sometime soon? Has anyone used old PSC system recently? Can anyone share experience?

Online applications, UKVCAS appointments & BRP queries - Read before you post
Old PSCs can be used until the end of Jan only for very few routes and NOT the SET(O) !!
QUESTION:-
Hi Zimba,
I have gone through the link you posted and it nowhere says that the old PSC services can't be used for ILR (SET O) applications. It only says that all PSC services are now closed but since there are limited appointments available till Jan, I believe this is not entirely true. Where does it say which application are to be processed in these limited appointments? Am i missing something there? Is there any other link which mentions that?
I have submitted the application online and on booking appointment page it gave me 2 options to either use new service or use existing service. It even mentions while booking that "due to limited appointments in existing PSC if you dont find an appointment, it will give you option to go back and apply for new service". In my case, I opted the old PSC service and luckily I found some appointments in Glasgow and Belfast. If existing service is not to be used for SET (O), why do you even get an option?
From what I read at few places, it says it's difficult to find appointments and since new service is open for SET (O) and hence it's easy to use new services but it nowhere says old PSC can't be used. Do you have any information on this? Any help will be much appreciated.
