I am applying for ILR along with my dependants. I am on Tier 2 General visa and i am eligible to apply for ILR. I filled in a separate Set O online for my child who is over 18 yrs now. My child has taken a gap year and is currently working. He is currently staying with me. He has an unconditional offer from a University. He will join in Sep 2019. I have been asked to submit the following-
1) Current Biometric Residence Permit
2) Declaration signed by XXXX to confirm consent for the Home Office to request verification checks
3) Evidence of XXXX's immigration status in the UK
4) XXXX's Life in the UK Test pass notification

I understand that i need to submit BRP for 'Evidence of XXXX's immigration status in the UK'. Do i need to submit any other documents? I had read in another post that my child would have to give evidence for not living an independent life. Do i need to submit his bank statement, salary slip, etc. Please advice whether i need any other document.

Thanks.

Does anyone have a template for drafting a letter proving that the child is not leading an independent life?

No, we don't have a 'huge folder' of template letters for everything.

Please follow the guidance notes, supporting evidence required and if you need a cover letter it needs to be based on your/child circumstances.

ILR application - Technical issue- part complete

I filled the ILR online application form. I am on Tier 2 Visa. I completed all the sections for myself, my spouse and two children (below 16 yrs). When i goto All applicants page, it shows that my application is complete. my spouse's application is complete. Both my children's application is 'part complete'. I have filled all the section. I am not sure why the system is showing part complete.

When i click on my child's application. It takes me to my application. I cannot view my child's application online. But all the details are there in the pdf file.

Can i submit my application even though the status is part complete?

I have reached out to the Technical support team and awaiting their reply. I thought to check with this forum also.

If you are applying for ILR based on 5 yrs on Tier 2, then you can skip that question.

That question is for those who combine different types of visa to reach ILR eligibility.

Better to sort the technical issue before submission. If it's not a time and efforts thing, you could start a fresh application and see if it resolves the issue.

Btw, you can post all your queries in one thread rather than separate threads.
