ILR - Questions

Hi Everyone,
I am getting ready to apply for ILR soon and want to verify with you the following :
- I was granted my Tier 2 visa on 30/04/2014 and only arrived in the UK on 09/06/2014. If I want to calculate the continuous period, do I start from the granted date or arrival date?
- If I am starting from the granted date, 30/04/2019 completes my five years in the UK. Does that mean I can apply for my ILR 28 days before that day which starts from the 02/04/2019 onwards?
- Can I use the same IELTS certificate used for a Tier 2 visa even though is expired as proof of English in my ILR application?
Thank you for your support.

Additional Questions :
- When does the Home Office consider the date of the application ? From the date submitted online or the date of attending the super priority to submit the documents ?
- I am working for the same employer for a year and few months (started last November), Does this mean I only have to show 3 month payslip and 3 month bank account statement where the salary goes into ?

Date of application is the date you submit and pay online for Set(O).

In the application the question : When did you first enter the UK?
My visa issue date was 30/04/2014 and I entered UK 09/06/2014. What should I put there ?

I just read CR001 answer to this old post, I assume the rules are the same and didn't changed.

The question asks about entry date not visa issue date. HO knows the rules where to count the date from (visa issue date).

The rules have changed since that topic in 2014. They changed in January 2018.
Best not to read old threads.

I have got my ILR few years ago and claiming child benefit (public funds). Now my wife is going to apply for ILR (currently she is on tier-2 dependant route). As per the below guidance, it says
When you apply for settlement, you and your partner must:
be living together in your own accommodation
not be using public funds (
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... c-funds--2)
Please advise, what needs to be done. When I phoned up Homeoffice customer service team, they advised me to submit a cover note explaining the situation. Kindly suggest will the above apply for my wife's ILR application?
I'm under the impression, me being on ILR status, I can claim child benefit. Pls advise

How is your question relevant to the OP and why have you tagged on here when you have your own ILR topic???? It is unfair to members for you to keep tagging your questions onto their posts.

Since no one has replied to my question in another topic, I have posted new Q here assuming this thread is related to all ILR questions.
Please advise.

No, it is NOT a 'general anyone ask a question' topic. Stick to your own topic and if you don't get a reply (which no one is forced to do), it likely means your questions are not clear.
Please re-read the forum rules, particularly POINT 12 in the forum rules FAQs link below.

What are the new rules ?
Also, I have another question :
- My bank account is HSBC, Can I use the original letter headed from the bank ?

The absence rule and the date counted for eligibility to apply for ILR changed, see link below.

What 'original letter'??? Any letter you submit or bank statement must be recent, no older than 28 days before the date you submit and pay online.

I've applied for the ILR on 2nd (priority services) and was granted last Friday. Thank you for your support.
I have two children, one born outside of the UK and one born in the UK. As I understand I can apply for naturalisation to become British citizen right ?

For the UK born child yes. Note that children are registered not naturalised.
Child born abroad needs ILR and can apply when either parent is also applying for citizenship or one parent is already British and the other holds ILR.

Thanks CR001.
So I will have to follow the MN1 form for the child UK born ?
As for the other child, I will renew the dependent visa for another 2 years with his mother so he complete his 5 years then apply for ILR.
