ILR meeting financial requirement through investments/shares success?

Hello
I am applying for a partner ILR. I am planning to use investments (in a Barclays investment account) and will liquidate £47,000 into cash a couple of days before my application.
I will send a letter-headed portfolio report of the investments in the six month period before application and bank statements showing the liquidated amount in cash. I'll also declare and prove the source of investments.
My questions has anyone in this forum used investments before to meet the financial requirement AND BEEN SUCCESSFUL? If so, what information/documents did you include in your application?
Thanks
B

This is all about providing specific evidence as required under the rules for your respective route. The experience of others or what they did is not much relevant. Here is what the official guide requires you to prove if you want to use your investments:
Under paragraph 11A(c) funds held as cash savings by the applicant, their partner or both jointly at the date of application can have been transferred from investments (including funds liquidated from a pension pot), stocks, shares, bonds or trust funds within the period of 6 months prior to the date of application, provided that:
• the funds have been in the ownership and under the control of the applicant, their partner or both jointly for at least the period of 6 months prior to the date of application
• the ownership of the funds in the form of investments, stocks, shares, bonds or trust funds; the cash value of the funds in that form at or before the beginning of the period of 6 months prior to the date of application; and the transfer of the funds into cash, are evidenced by a portfolio report or other relevant documentation from a financial institution regulated by the appropriate regulatory body for the country in which that institution is operating
• the requirements of Appendix FM-SE in respect of the cash savings held at the date of application are met, except that the period of 6 months prior to the date of application in paragraph 11(a) will be reduced by the amount of that period in which the relevant funds were held in the form of investments, stocks, shares, bonds or trust funds
• for the purposes of sub-paragraph 11A(c), ‘investments’ includes funds held in an investment account which does not meet the requirements of paragraphs 11 and 11A(a)

Thanks so as long as I have the proper documentation and show I had the investments in my name for 6 months prior to the application, I can hold the investments in shares and then liquidate into cash a few days before my application?
I'm just trying to clarify whether the investments need to be liquidated into cash before the start of the six month period or if they can be liquidated into cash a couple of days before the application?
Thanks

As long as such funds were yours and under your control for six months prior to the date of the application, then you may liquidate them before applying. Though you need to provide evidence as asked in the guide:
Money held as cash savings at the date of application can have been liquidated or
transferred by the same owner(s) from investments and may have been held as
investments for the first part of the period of 6 months prior to the date of application
and as cash savings for the rest of that 6 month period
Evidence must be provided showing that:
• the investments, stocks, shares, bonds or trust funds were in the ownership
and under the control of the applicant, their partner or both jointly for that part
of the 6-month period prior to the date of application before they were
liquidated into cash savings
• the value of the investments, stocks, shares, bonds or trust funds at or before
the beginning of that 6-month period was at least equivalent to the amount of
the cash savings relied upon in the application
• the cash savings meet the requirements of Appendix FM-SE

How do accommodation costs affect financial requirement?

Hello
my partner owns the house we live in and he pays a mortgage of 2000 per month and we pay 150 in council tax. I am relying on cash savings of 34600 to meet the financial requirement.
Will this level of cash savings be enough to satifisy the financial requirement given the housing costs?
Thanks

Adequate accommodation is not a financial requirement.
This has its own relevant guide:

Just so that you avoid any confusion, the adequate
maintenance mentioned in the guide above only applies to
certain applicants, it does not apply to your case
Super priority and appointment steps

Hello I am exploring the option of paying for super priority for my ILR visa (partner route) as I have to travel.
Could someone clarify the application steps for super priority - I am assuming that
1) I complete the application
2) I pay for it (and at this stage I pay for super priority)
3) I confirm my identity online - I have a valid BRP
4) I upload my documents online
5) I attend the super priority appointment and take my passport and BRP (and not all the documents I uploaded online)
Is this correct? Is verifying my identity online and uploading documents online still an option with super-priority service or does everything get done in the super priority appointment? I have a valid BRP.
Do I need to bring paper copies of all the documents submitted to the super priority appointment?
Thank you
B

Please do not keep posting new ILR topics in the Immigration for Family sub forum, which is not for ILR queries.
Also please keep ALL your questions on the same application in one topic, this one, now merged.
1) I complete the application - Yes
2) I pay for it (and at this stage I pay for super priority) - Yes, if super priority is available, the option will be on the payment page. If it is not available, you won't see the option.
3) I confirm my identity online - I have a valid BRP - Not sure what you mean by this but there is no such thing. Your identity is confirmed at your biometric appointment.
4) I upload my documents online - Yes
5) I attend the super priority appointment and take my passport and BRP (and not all the documents I uploaded online) - The appointment has nothing to do with Super Priority service, which is is UKVI service, not a UKCVAS Biometric appointment service. UKCVAS is a third party agent, not UKVI staff or caseworkers.
Is this correct? Is verifying my identity online and uploading documents online still an option with super-priority service or does everything get done in the super priority appointment? I have a valid BRP.
Your identity is confirmed at the biometric appointment. For all applications, you have to upload your documents digitally unless you opt to pay for scanned services at UKCVAS, a third party agent.
Do I need to bring paper copies of all the documents submitted to the super priority appointment?
No. Just passport and BRP, to verify identity!

Financial requirement through investments - do these documents seem like enough?

Hello
I'm about to apply for ILR (partner route). I am using shares in an investment account from Barclays, some of which I've liquidated into cash (£36,000 worth).
Are these documents enough?
- Document dated 16 August 2023 from Barclays showing that the value of my Smart Investor Account has been worth over £50,000 over the last year
- 18th August 2023 - Contract order from Barclays showing that I sold £36,000 on this date
- 22nd of August 2023 - statement from my Barclays current account showing that I transferred this cash value from my investment account to my current account
- letter confirming the source of these investments (inheritance)
- grant of probate showing that I inherited from my uncle
- my uncles smart investor account statement from Barclays 2 years ago when he passed away to show that he had the same shares
Has anyone had experience or success in using shares to meet the financial requirement? If so, do these documents seem like enough to meet the requirement?
Thank you
B

Thanks CR001 - I think I posted in the ILR forum. Is this correct? At least I tried to!
Any thoughts on the questions? Hoping to submit today or tomorrow
Thanks

We cannot tell you whether your specific documents are going to be accepted by UKVI or not. You have already been advised to submit whatever the rules ask you specifically to provide, as shown above

Hello
thanks Zimba. In one of the sections in the ILR application it asks me for my account number for the cash savings - should I insert the smart investor account number where my shares were held or the current account where the shares were liquidated to?
Thanks

I am not familiar with the forms. Note that your eligibility is determined based on the documents provided NOT the data entered on the form!
