Can I leave the Uk after submitting online application but haven't had the appointment yet?

Hello,
Hope you are well. I know that we cannot travel outside uk while waiting for the decision. But can we travel outside uk after having completed the online application, but haven't been to an appointment yet? My plan is that I submit the online application first, travel for two weeks, and submit the application when back. I want to submit the application first due to the fee rise taking place on 4th October.
Thank you very much

No.
The date you make the application is the date you submit the application online, not the date of the biometric appointment.
And if you leave the UK after the application is made, it is considered withdrawn.
Ergo, no leaving the UK from the date of submitting the application until you get the decision. The date of the biometric appointment is irrelevant.

Fixed term contract and employed for the forseeable future

Hello,
My fixed contract is till May 2025 and I would like to apply for a permanent residence now. I am wondering does my case count as 'still required for the foreseeable future'.
And if so, what best to phrase in the employment letter? Shall I mention the sentence 'still required for the foreseeable future', or just mention the fixed contract end date?
Thanks!
