Travel after Ilr application.

Hi,

Asking for a friend who needs answers urgently.

I'm on FLR (M) visa valid for the next 2 months. I have just applied for ILR via the standard route.

I'm aware that I can't upgrade to super priority. However, I'd like to travel out for work purposes.

Can I still use my valid FLR brp to travel as long as I return before it expires?

Should I travel with evidence of my ilr application in case?

What would happen if I return with the BRP expired after 2 months but a valid ilr application pending decision with the UKVI?

Much appreciated

When your friend leaves the country, application for ILR won't be valid.
34K. Where a decision on an application for permission to stay has not been made and the applicant travels outside the common travel area their application will be treated as withdrawn on the date the applicant left the common travel area.
Your friend can return using their current BRP card as long as it's still valid on their return, but, as mentioned above, they will lose all fees paid for ILR and would need to reapply when they're back.

You should NOT travel outside the UK after submitting your application online or else your application will be considered automatically withdrawn (as per paragraph 34K of the UK immigration rules)
