ILR Set (O) Query - "When did you first enter the UK?"

Hello there,

I am about to submit my ILR application but at one point I am stuck, so would appreciate your advice.

I am applying for my ILR as a Tier 2 Skilled Worker - Set (O) after living/working in the UK for past 5 years (started working in January 2019). Even though, I started working in the UK in 2019, I first visited UK in 2010 to pursue to my Masters but then left in 2014, and then went to Republic of Ireland to pursue my PhD.

In my application I am being asked to mention about my immigration history "When did you first enter the UK? " in that question, shall I write the date I entered as a Skilled worker (as I am filling through the 5 year route), or I mention the first time I entered in UK, that was in 2010 as a Masters student?

Would really appreciate your help!

Regards,

Either date in 2010 or 2019 should be fine, no issues on that. However the question might have a small print with a statement:

"This is the date you entered the UK when the period of stay you are basing this application on started"

Meaning that you may put the date of your qualifying period for the SW visa route (2019 - five years).

ILR Set (O) Query - Have you previously lived in a country outside the UK including your country of birth?

Hello there,

I am about to submit my ILR application but stuck at one question, so would really appreciate your advice.

I was born in India and in 2010 I first entered UK. Lived until 2014, and then moved back to India for a year (2014-2015), then went to Ireland (2015-2019) and then, finally moved to UK on a Tier 2 visa (Set O, from 2019- till date).

In my application, where I am asked about details of countries, I have lived outside UK including my country of birth, do I need to mention about my stay in India from the time I was born - until 2010 followed by my one year stay in 2014-2015 and then my stay in Republic of Ireland from 2015-2019?

I would be grateful if you could answer my query.

Regards,

Correct. The form also asks for the reasons why you lived there, so briefly respond accordingly.

ILR Set (O) Query - "Entry to UK from Ireland?"

Hello there,

I am applying for my ILR as a Tier 2 Skilled Worker - Set (O) after living/working in the UK for past 5 years. I entered UK on 13th of January 2019 from Ireland. However, arriving from Ireland there is no stamp on my passport.

In that scenario, what alternative evidence of my date of entry can I provide since my passport has not been stamped?

I started my job on 15th of January, so I have a letter from my employer of my start date but then again, there is no proof when I entered UK.

Regards,

You do not need to provide anything and your date of entry is not important for ILR. UKVI systems may also store information for travels within CTA like data from flights. If they need any evidence, they may ask later but it is often unnecessary
Checking the entry date
You may not be able to see the applicant’s date of entry on passport pages, for
example if they entered using E-Gates that digitally scan passports. In addition to
this, applicants who enter through Ireland don’t pass through immigration control,
and so cannot demonstrate their date of entry to the UK using their passport. If you
have reason to believe that the date of entry provided by the applicant is not correct,
you may need to check other Home Office systems to confirm this

ILR Set (O) Query - "Documents to be uploaded - Evidence of immigration"

Hello there,

I am in midst of uploading my documents to support my ILR application. However, I am a bit confused at one particular point.

I am being asked to upload "Evidence of my immigration status in the UK" and my "Current Biometric Residence Permit". As an Indian national, I only have BRP as my evidence of immigration.

So, shall I submit my BRP for both the options?

You only need to upload it ONCE, it is effectively the same thing.
