Foreign income ILR application based on GTV

Hello, a little urgent, my Dad is on a GTV currently and was endorsed by the Royal Academy of Engineering, he is applying for his ILR in a few weeks,
He was out of the country as he was assigned by the company he works for to be the project lead for any collaborative projects and research in Nigeria. He was out of the country for over 180 days. My main question however is that he was paid in Nigerian naira, will this affect him when it comes to the “must show you have earned in your field”
the research was in his field just to be clear and this is explicitly mentioned in the letter from his employer and also from the collaborative partners he worked with in Nigeria. We are planning to show bank statements on official bank stationary aswell as a letter from the Nigerian bank confirming the transactions to be genuine. Including the letters from his uk employer and the collaborative partners.
Also just to mention he does not have any earnings from his field that was paid in GBP.
I know this is super specific but if anyone can advise us we would be extremely grateful.

There is no specific requirement but GTV applicants should demonstrate they
have earned money in the UK in their expert field. What is the point of granting a UK talent work visa when an applicant ends up working outside the UK ?
There is no specific earning requirement for ILR under Global Talent Visa route

He’s out there for research
If he gets paid this month in his UK bank account would that be sufficient? Providing there is no specific amount needed.

I provided what the rules expect. As I said there is no specific requirement on what is sufficient. UKVI expects to see he has earned money in the UK in his expert field as clearly mentioned under the rules

What route did he follow to get endorsed by the RAEng?
The guidance has provisions for researchers working abroad in terms of absences from the UK - the 180-days rule does not apply to these cases. However nothing is said about zero earnings in the UK but in another country.
If the visa holder is working abroad and getting paid abroad, what's the contribution (money/taxes, etc) they are giving to the UK? Not sure how UKVI will assess this.

Hello everyone,
I’ve just got a few questions,
Background: I am an over 18 global talent dependent applying for ILR prior to this I was a dependent on my mums student visa before then moving to a dependent on my dads global talent visa,
1) which form will I need to fill out as it is very confusing with the family visa one.
2) my mum is not applying to settle even though she is a dependent under my dads global talent visa because she does not meet the requirements just yet due to absences, will this affect me.

You cannot apply for ilr until your mother applies. The rules dont allow children dependents to apply without the other parent who is a dependent.

Thanks for your reply,
So my only other option is to extend my current global talent dependent visa right. I’ve live here 7 years so I only need 3 more years to reach the 10 year long residency.

Either you settle with your parent or settle on your own when you have 10 years

Hello,
I am currently filling out my application form and it’s asking for the date I first entered the UK
Underneath the question it clarifies
“This is the date you entered the UK when the period of stay you are basing this application on started.”
I was already in the UK so what date do I put on this question

Which form exactly are you filling in?
You dont qualify for ilr, you have already been advised of this.
