My wifes spouse visa is due in 2024, she will completed the 5 year route and we are looking to apply for ILR.
We are both self employed so usually we'd submit our most latest tax return from 2023-24 tax year.
My question is if I was to start a 12 month contract Employed job in July 2022 and it was to end in July 2023, can I include this to satisfy the financial requirement along my self employment and if so can I still do so if my employment ended?
Thank you

Check the requirements under category B, F and G:
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... rement.pdf
You can only combine employment income under category A or B with self-employment income under category G or F if these sources of income fall within the relevant financial year(s). Also, you must provide evidence of ongoing employment at the date of application:
Income under Category F or Category G can be combined with income from salaried
and non-salaried employment, non-employment income and pension income in order
to meet the financial requirement. However, unlike with other Categories, these
sources of income must fall within the relevant financial year(s) in order to be
included.
Where a person in self-employment, or who is the director of a specified limited company in the UK,
also relies on income from other employment (salaried or nonsalaried) during the relevant financial year(s),
they must also provide evidence of ongoing employment (salaried or non-salaried) at the date of application.

thank you for the information, I really appreciate it.
I cant confirm if it will "on going employment" as its a 12 month contract.
because its outside IR35 I might ask them if I can go down the self employment route.
Can you have more than one self employed job to satisfy the requirement?

Correpondence for ILR (Set M)

Hi guys,
I am due to apply for ILR for my wife, she come on a spouse visa 5 year route.
I am bit confused about the supporting correspondence required for the last 2.5 years to demonstrate that we have been living together.
I know that:
As a part of your SET(M) application, you must provide 6 items of correspondence addressed to both you and your partner at your residence to prove that you have been living together since your last visa was granted.
It is important that the dates of your letters are spread out amongst the duration of the time you have lived together. They need to be from 3 varying sources.
If there are not enough documents in your joint names, you can also provide documents addressed to you individually if they appear to show the same address for you both. For instance, 4 letters addressed to you in joint names, and 2 other letters addressed to each of you individually at the same address. Eight letters in total would need to be provided.
So if I have 3 items of documents in joint names does that mean I need 3 individual documents each to satisfy the requirement?

No. You need to cover the last two years. Any documents can be used as long as they show you two living together at the same address. There is no specific evidence requirement
All you need to know about cohabitation evidence

Hi guys,
Do you still qualify for the super priority service if you apply for Set (M) ILR 28 days earlier from the date of entry to the UK under spouse visa?
