Ancestry UK Dependent ILR (Set O)

Hi all ,

I have recently obtained ILR via the ancestry route, my husband who currently has a uk visa (dependent on me) will be applying for ILR. I was advised that he would need to fill out the Set o form, though none of the options state (dependents of ancestry). Someone advised me to choose the ‘reasons not stated in this form’

But I’m confused, how do I link it to myself? What documents will be needed in this case. How do I show cohabitation as my husband is currently in another country looking after his aged parents (he will be coming to uk to apply for the ILR)

Please let me know

Thanks

No need to link anything. UKVI has all their immigration history.

Thank you! I have been given very confusing advice, some say to apply using the Set o Ancestry Dependent category and include all my data n information about Ancestry. Can it be done this way as well? Its very unclear

Apply as normal. No need to link anything. Your eligibility is based on your partner and UKVI will perform these checks as part of the application decision-making process.

Thank you so much for such a swift reply! I really appreciate it as I really don’t want to submit the wrong information.m and there’s not much online regarding ancestry dependent applications.

Just so I’m 100% clear. Can I confirm that:
1) the Dependent can apply through the Set (O) Ancestry Category?
2) When asked to provide ancestry documents, I am to supply the main applicants ancestry documents
3) when asked for employment documents ( since the dependent is not working) am I to supply the main applicants employment history and financial records?
4) I can explain everything via a cover letter?

Dependents should not be sending any employment or other documents. They are not relevant to dependants.

I understand that but the ancestry set (o) required documents are :
Evidence that you have a grandparent who was born in the UK or Islands (including the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Ireland (if they were born there before 31 March 1922)

Documents) showing that you are able to work and intend to take or seek employment in the UK.

If you are employed at the date of application, please provide
• a letter from your current employer which confirms they will continue

Will it harm the dependents application by not supplying this?

No. Those are for the main applicants not for the dependants

Thank you! Sorry I’m being dense Because it was being asked for in the Set O Ancestry category.

So my partner will be able to fill out the Set O Ancestry Form inspite of the main applicant not applying at the same time ( as I already have ILR status) correct?

The super priority option doesn’t seem to be available for the Set O - other categories form so perhaps my only option is the Set o ancestry category?

There is no other category/form to use. Ancestry ILR is via SET(O)
