I'm a British Citizen, my wife has an ILR. Child was born outside the UK before I or my wife became settled, we were on work visas.

What options do I have? Can the child apply for ILE from outside the UK? do I need a Family Visa BEFORE I apply for ILR?

How ? Do I apply for "Family Visa" and I get an ILE ? How does that work ? ("Visa" doesn"t imply indifinite..)
