Hi All,
I have below situation. I am British Citizen.
My wife and 2 kids are Indian. They are in Dependent visa and they are eligible for ILR this 29th May 2024.
Unfortunately My son passport is expired and i already applied for his passport renewal with Indian Embassy. But its been 5 months now i have got back the passport. Indian Embassy said they are under review.
My wife, Daughter and Son Visa is expiring on 15th July 2024.
My Daughter and Wife have valid passport and i can apply for their ILR alone ?
how i can apply for ILR to my Son. Since he doesn't have passport?
Can you please help us in this situation.

She applying ILR as SET (M)
Set M. Is not the correct form if she holds a tier 2 or skilled worker dependent visa.
She must apply on form SET O.

What visa route was the extension? What form did you complete? What does the approval email or letter say?

Below message it says.
Your application under Tier 2 Dependant Joiner of the Immigration Rules as a dependant of Aravindan has been successful.
SET(M) must NOT be used. That is not correct for them. You must apply using form SET(O) as advised. The fact that you are a citizen now is irrelevant. The form used must be used according to the visa route that they are under. Do NOT get confused by the note on the form SET(M)
I suggest including your son too. There are reports that the Indian passports of children of
former Indian citizens (now British) are not being renewed, which may also apply to your son: Read the advice here:

Thanks i changed the application to SET O. I have below question for my wife application. Even-though i given British citizen.
Below question
Mr xxxxxx current UK immigration status
Which visa is Mr xxxxx x applying for or been granted?
Choose the route that Mr xxxxx has applied for or been granted, even if their application is still being processed.
I have only visa options to select. Example, TIER 2, Skilled Worker Visa.
What should i select. The question is not right. Why its asking for current IMMIGRATION status.

Thanks for the suggestion and for my son query also.
I have below question
When did you first enter the UK?
(Required)
This is the date you entered the UK when the period of stay you are basing this application on started.
With respect to my wife question. What date should i enter 2015 or 2019 ?

Hi, Can you please suggest how do i apply for my son. I dont have his expired passport with me.
While i am filling the application and in documents section. i have asked to submit the expired passport and his travel document while in UK. Since i dont have it hand i can't submit the passport. I only have the passport scan copy with me which has only the photo page and address details.
Can i provide some consent form for not having passport by explain it is with Indian Embassy ?

Scanned copy sufficient, you are not submitting actual hard copies of documents.

Thank you all for support. I applied without passport for my son.
Application is approved for all 3. My wife and Kids.
Thank you all for the help.
For Minors they haven't asked for any mandatory document incase of the passport expired.
