Hello everyone,

My 5 years spouse visa will end next year. For ILR I had a question with regards to adequate accommodation.

My wife and kids are British. Kids are 11 and 12 years old. Currently we live as tenants in a 3 bedroom house and what we realised was that even though it's 3 bed house one of the small room is less than 50 square feet.

We do also have a big living room downstairs which is open plan (without doors). Spam and bathroom are separate rooms with doors.

Will this fulfill the requirements for adequate accommodation? Or should we start looking to move?

So am thinking

2 bedrooms which are more than 50 sq + 1 living room can be taken as a bedroom as its more than 50 square meters = 3 bedrooms.

Therefore for me, my wife and 2 kids boy and a girl above 10 years age this setup should satisfy adequate accommodation.

Please can anyone with this experience kindly reply.

No one cares about the measurements of the rooms. How many rooms you have in the house is the question asked.
3 rooms should be very okay.

Hi I will soon be applying for setm ilr in January. As part of proof of cohabitation for 2023 I was planning on using my wife's bank statement for Aug 2023 along with other evidences. The problem is it does have a statement no which says 08/2023 but doesn't mention the issue date like it does for my lloyds bank statement.

I did contact the santander bank and according to them statement number refers to the month and year of issue. This is their standard format they said and no other formats exist with issue date on them.

Will this be acceptable? It does say the range of transaction such as 23rd of July 2023 to 22nd of Aug 2023 and statement no as 08/2023.


Please let me know as I am extremely worried.

How can I know something is accepted by the UKVI, when there are no rules that say what is specifically acceptable at all ??
They are not even mentioned in the rules. Again, provide WHATEVER you have. You are overthinking this

As part of the application the home office is asking for all the passports used to travel into the uk.

I am currently in the spouse 5 year route(2020 - now) I was on 10 year route in 2017. I have lost the passport before 2017. I have two passports since then which I both have.

So all the 5 years + 2.5 years are accounted for.

Will it be a problem if I apply for Set m ILR and only have passport uptil 2017?

The one before that (2012 - 2017)was never returned to me by the HO as it was also expired i just applied for a new one.

Please anyone with knowledge or experience of this type of situation?

In your experience does this mean I won't be granted an ILR? For ilr after 5 year spouse do I need passports older than 2017?

Hi just wanted to double check on something. We got into a tenancy in 2023 for one year we therefore got a tenancy agreement.

For renewal in 2024 we did addendum to the tenancy agreement of 2023 adding 12 more months and increasing the rent slightly.

Will this be acceptable as a valid tenancy agreement for set m ILR application?
