hi all,

i am on wp and in the past when i applied for wp extension through post, my application was return as invalid because they could not find pictures with application. where i am 100% sure that i had attached my pics.

the application was return and a cheque was sent back. i contacted ukba and re-sent my application within the week with covering letter explaining the situation.
now there is a gap in previous wp Leave expiry and new leave to remain about 2-3 months.

does it affect ILR?

thanks,

Get your SAR records.

If they treated your subsequent application as a valid variation of your initial application, then you're okay.

Note that between 1st August 2003 and 29 February 2008, they were supposed to request extra details and give you 28 days to respond before declaring an application as invalid.

Invalid Application using the e-form for Settlement

Dear All,

Has anyone's Settlement application deemed as invalid by using the e-from?

I made the online payment for Settlement, filled all the details and printed the e-form and send it to Home Office on 7th June 2011.

Home Office acknowledged the application - 13th June 2011
Another letter arrived dated on 9th August 2011 but arrived on 19th August stating that the Application is invalid because

"The Application or Claim must be made using the correct specified form. Please re submit on the current version of the SET(0) Application within 21 days"

I called the home office on 19th afternoon and the customer service told me to submit a fresh application without any payment. I called again on 20th morning and the customer service told me to complete the payment too and the original amount will be refunded after 4 weeks. What a confusion!!

Has anyone experienced this before or recently?

Appreciate your replies.

Thanks

Nimish
