HI there,

Need some advice about ILR. Me and my husband both are eligible for ILR-10 years long stay. What would be the best way to go about?
1.Is it better for my husband to apply for ILR first. And, then do i apply i apply as a dependant and still ILR could apply?
2. Or i apply for ILR separately?
3. My child was born in UK 7 years ago. Is he entitled to get a citizenship as soon as me or my husband gets our ILR? I heard somebody say that i have to fill set(m) form for the child after our ILR, and then can apply for his citizenship. Is that right?

Can some one experienced or knowledgeable advice me in this case please.

Thank you.

1. If both are eligible, then apply for SET(O) separately before leave expires.
3. Child will be entitled.

Thank u for your message. Another question. If we do not get our ILR by the time my son's visa expires. What can i do? Do i still fill set(m) and send it giving our ref numbers?

Child may apply for SET(F). However, I don't think that it's necessary, if child was born in the UK.
