Hi, I need to apply family permit visa for my partner outside EU, I am a student and living with my parents.
I looked on "qualified person" student section.

(• have enough money to meet their living expenses and so will not become a
burden on the social assistance system of the UK during their residence-
suitable evidence of this includes:
o bank statements
o other evidence of the award of a grant or sponsorship
o written confirmation by the student that they have enough money)
I am living with my parents so how can I sponsor my partner also my parents put around £6k in my account to show homeoffice savings, will that be enough or need £16k? How many months money has to stay in my account?
I got CSI for me and my partner.
Please advise help will be highly appreciated.

First question is are you a EEA Citizen exercising treaty rights in the UK

If you are a British Citizen the EEA permits do not apply to family members. Instead what applies is the settlement visas for dependents which is a separate route.

If you are an EEA citizen read this: https://www.gov.uk/family-permit/docume ... st-provide

@ khan.789 - you appear to be a non EU citizen who obtained PR 2 years ago after 5 years with your British/Danish wife.

You are not able to sponsor a spouse under the EU rules as you yourself are not an EU citizen.

Are you divorced from your previous spouse??

Non EU:
Application sent 03/10/2016

Money taken by HO 06/10/2016
BM done 24/10/2016
COA received 31/10/2016

Took exact 7 months I did involve my local MP I suppose that pushed HO. Best of luck to everyone still waiting.

OP is for my family friend. She is EEA citizen living with her parents, studying have CSI for her and her partner but qulified person says:
"When deciding if an EEA national and their family members have sufficient
resources you must first check if they exceed the maximum level of resources which
a British citizen and their family members can have before they no longer qualify for
social assistance under the UK benefit system"
Sufficient resources are how much as she can get transferred money to her account from her parents just want to know how much? and for how long funds needs to stay in her account? 1 month 2 months or they can apply for FP straightaway after funds gets transferred to her account. Thanks
