Unmarried partners problem (CSI for one) + Child

Hello Good People & Please Help.

My partner (our son's father) is right now applying for the citizenship. He should be OK. He has been living & working without stopping in the UK since December 2014 & has settled status since last December and has passed all other requirements.

Me (mother) and our son (13 yo) joined him in August 2016. I didn't work for the first 13 months. We didn't claim any benefits, but also I didn't take out CSI as didn't know that I need it at the time. Since September 2017 I've been working continuously.

Me and my partner have been living together in the UK since we arrived and we lived together before, but we are not registered by marriage or civil partnership. Our son has his father last name and is recognized as the father in the birth certificate, of course.

My partner applied for our son and both were granted settled statuses last December and January this year. I've applied separately and received pre-settled status. Is our son going to be in any problem because I didn't have CSI and due to the fact that he was granted settled status even though he has been in the country for 3 and a half years at the time?

What is my situation for ILR/settled status in 2021 due to lack of CSI and with citizenship later? I'll have 5 years of residence in August.

Final question, in the confirmation for our son's settled status was written that he can apply for citizenship in one year time which is now , without mentioning his parents' statuses and and I find that weird as he is going to be only 14 next year. So, when should we register him as a citizen:

a. Now, even though his father still hasn't received the citizenship, only applied,
b. When his father becomes a citizen, but I'm still pre-settled,
c. After his father becomes a citizen and also I receive ILR?

Thank you for any help.

Thread moved to the EEA immigration forums as the questions are primarily about EEA immigration.

Your son should be able to register as a British citizen when either one parent has or is applying for British citizenship AND the child and other parent both have ILR/Settled Status. So, option (c) above.

The rules regarding acquiring British citizenship are different and unrelated to those for Settled Status or indeed, any other immigration stream.

Thank you for prompt reply.

Wondering if there is anyone with similar CSI situation here, with some good news regarding citizenship or advice?

If I understood well CSI shouldn't at least influence my settled status after 30th June (August in my case)?
