Thank you all for posting, as this community helped us a lot.
Now our story:

Married 6 years, child 5 years old in education in UK.

Sponsor national of Eastern Europe full time employed (in UK less than a year)
Applicant national of Russia (very popular nation nowadays) had a RC in Eastern Europe for 6 years before coming to UK.

We did arrange a joint bank account and tenancy contract in both of our names before applying.
Application had only documents required, no extras. So only about sponsor and applicant, but in Cover letter we did mention the child and which school he goes to. So the case worker could check if they wanted.

We did apply for EEA2 only (saw no reason spending extra 100£ for 2 more EEA's when it is not clear if the EEA2 would be issued or not)
EEA 2 application received by HO 20th Oct
CoA with RTW dated 3rd NOV
Reported Change of address through on-line system (they got the address wrong, and we received CoA by luck, God bless the postman)
Reported change of circumstance some time END of November via phone (Sponsor obtained NI number)
Called for status update on 20th of Jan, were told - under consideration, though the lady on the phone mentioned - if you do not hear from us in next 3 weeks time, give a call back, which gave us an indication, that it is close to being issued.
RC document received 23th January (dated 16th Jan) 5 years with right to work

Good Luck everyone, we were very nervous, but all ended up good.

0300 123 2253 this number and you would need to choose options few times, and then wait. First time I called to report change of circumstance I waited for 18 minutes, next time it was less than a minute.

Hi and congrats on obtaining your RC. I have just 2 simple questions, does the RC come as a card or a vignette in your passport. And secondly, does the RC show a Stamp no: 4 EUFAM?

My timeline:

Applied in Dec 2013(Unmarried): Refused Feb 2014
Appealed: March 2014
During the appeal waiting process, we got married in June 2014
Made fresh application in July 2014
COA issued with right of work in July 2014

Attended appeal in October 2014
Appeal rejected....judge not satisfied with our relationship. But judge said in the decision that my existing eea2 application will be dealt on merit.

Now waiting for the decision of my fresh application which was sent in July 2014.
COA expired because of 6+ months.

Q1. How do I renew my Coa?
Q2. Is there any one here with same situation?
Q3. What could be the decision as my appeal has already rejected?

Hello

I have been following for a while now...
just wanted a little advice
Husband came here on his family permit 11/12/14
applied for his residence card on the 13/1/15
they received it on the 14/1/15
Money taken from my account 15/1/15
letter of acknowledgment 16/1/15
waiting for the COA as my husband has a job and we want to give it to his employers

I am Irish resident in the UK since 2004
I am employed full time

When sending for the RC I never supplied any of the evidence I did for the FP just what it said on the uk.gov website

was this an error?

Documents I submitted

EEA2 application form
certified translation of marriage certificate + original
4 pay slips
Letter from my employer stating I work full time with them since 2012
2 passports ( mine + my husbands)
2 passport size photos.

I have a letter from the council tax with his name on it but I never included it!! now i'm feeling worried as the COA has not yet arrived.

I sent an email to them saying I forget put that letter in...
do we think the going to ask me for them at a later date? I thought all those documents would be recorded with the FP???

Help!

Worried Lady

Hi, you can just send another pack with some other documents which might be relevant, by adding the reference number from the acknowledgment letter . It will go straight to file as additional documents.

There are no applications from eu nationals. All eea2 are from non eu. What some couples do, at the time of the appplication they submit application for eu partner, just to confirm right to work of them. They are called registration certificates. So they issue these together, registration certificate for eu partner and residence card for non eu partner.
I guess its all about luck who is working on your case, it is also the complexity of each case and so on. They Have 6 months to do it . :-)

Hello

I just sent mine special delivery, I think was £7.50 and 1 for the return of the documents.... if you tell them at the post office what is inside your package they will advise you on the best service to use

special recorded delivery is best but a little expensive... but at least you know it wont get lost :)

Yes, i know & thats what i meant - eea2 together with eea1 application might make d processing faster. In the HO letter, it said faster application process for eu national.
