Queries regarding Family of a Settled Person Visa

My wife and I got married back in Sep 14. She is currently over here until June.

If we wished to apply for the Family of a Settled Person Visa.

Is this possible to be done from within the UK or would she have to be outside of the country for us to do this?

She is currently over here just as a visitor with no specific visa.

She cannot apply to switch to a spouse from within the UK as a visitor.

She can only apply from her country of residence for entry clearance.
