Under 18 siblings to join brother in UK - HELP PLS!

Post by nihlsa » Mon Jun 08, 2015 3:30 pm

Hi all

Are siblings of a British citizen able to apply to join their British brother in the UK? They are all under 18 and he is the main source of financial support for them. They do have 2 older siblings in their native country but they are unable to look after them.

I was unable to find any correct forms online. Does anyone have any idea if this is possible and how?

Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you :)

Sorry I wasnt clear in my original post.

The parents passed away and these siblings are under 18. They have other siblings who are older but they do not live close and cannot care for them anymore.

Thanks

They don't actually have a legal guardian appointed, the brother in the UK provides them with financial support

How old are the siblings and who do they live with at present?

EDIT : It would be helpful if you could provide full details of their current circumstances.

Apologies for the lack of detail..

The situation is that these children live in Afghanistan and are under 18 (8, 11 and 14). They are looked after by their elder siblings who are married and with kids of their own. Their brother lives in the UK and send them money regularly so they are financially dependant on him. The elder siblings in Afghanistan no longer can care for them because they have their own independent lives..

I am not sure there is a route for them to come to the UK given that they have other direct family in their home country. Perhaps Amber or one of the other moderators can advise.

Sole responsibility will also possibly need to be proved with documentary evidence.

I was looking into it and apparently they can apply as visitors to come here and make an application before the expiration of their visitors visa, using a Set (F) form?

Visitors cannot 'switch' to any other visa category while in the UK.
