Urgent: child born out UK,visa expiry date, Health surcharge

Post by bhags31 » Mon Jan 11, 2016 9:40 pm

Dear All,
I’m in the middle of the application of my Daughter born in India based on
“Child or Other Dependant of Settled Person” route, however really confused with some of the questions of on-line application about Immigration health surcharge.

I am desperately in need of help and really appreciate your swift response for the following;

For the Lead applicant’s details there is a section called: " You're joining or remaining with this person in the UK" and my answers are as follow;

Visa expiry date 28 October 2022 ( ILR -BRP card date)
From India
Visa route Settlement
Visa type ?

Child or Other Dependant of Settled Person
Civil partnership
Family reunion
Husband
Parent, grandparent or other dependent relative
Post-flight unsettle person

Que: 1
which option for Lead applicant’s Visa type I have to select if I am on ILR (ILR granted from Tier 1 general since 2012)?

Que: 2
what should be Visa expiry date? I’m on ILR so the last date until the BRP card is valid?

Que: 3
If my Visa expiry is October 2022 then it would be 7 years from now £200x7 =£1400 to pay for Immigration health surcharge. Is that correct?
Do I need to pay £1400 now for health surcharge now and it will be refunded to me later on because the child would get same Visa as parents (Both on ILR)?

Que: 4
Would my daughter get same visa as us i.e ILR/ILE? Or she might get other category of visa?

My Immigration status in UK: ILR from Nov 2012
Wife’s Immigration status in UK: ILR from april 2014
Child born in India: Oct 2015

Really appreciate swift response...
best regards

Q1 - Child is the main/lead applicant NOT you.

Q2- What is the actual question on the form? We don't all have access to the online application process.

Q3 - What is the actual question on the form? We don't all have access to the online application process. Health surcharge should be £600, might get refunded if child is granted ILE.

Q4 - Probably ILE. What is the visa status of the other parent?

Both Parents has ILR.
Child is in India and want to join parent/s in UK

Ques: 2 comes up if i select "applying to join somebody (a main applicant) in UK" in the screen 1 of the attachments. But as you mentioned if Child is the main applicant I should select "Applying alone" instead.
Correct?

Screen 1:

Screen:2 (only comes us with these option if selected: "applying to join somebody (a main applicant) in UK"

* you need to select 'apply alone'. The child is the applicant.
