Further Leave To Remain

Post by Calebanane » Sun Apr 10, 2016 8:29 am

Hello guys,
I just joined this forum and I would like your opinions and here is my story
I came to UK in 2005 on visitors visa and I met my wife in late 2011 who was granted ILR in 2010.
We got married at the registers office in 2012.
I put in my DL flr ( o) application in March 2013 through a solicitor and was asked to go for my biometrics which I did in same March 2013.
My application was refused in April 2013 all because I didn't have a child at the time and was asked to leave UK with no chance to appeal. So in July I went to see another solicitor who email Home office to reconsider my case and took the case to the court for judicial review and we never had any court proceedings. November 2013 I was asked for further evidence and that same November 15th I was granted two and half years leave to remain basis on parental responsibility on 10 years route basis on my stepdaughter because my wife has a daughter.
Now my wife and I has one year old boy and my step daughter who are all British citizens. My visa is now due to be renewed in ten days time and my questions are

1. What are the best supporting documents I can add to the application
2. Which form do I have to fill
3.Any good advice would be appreciated because I am doing the application myself, I can't afford solicitors fee

Please advise me thank you.

Hi, try to collect all the evidence and documents with your name and wifes name, bills, tenancy agreement, poll cards, basically any letters that you have coming to you home address with your names on them, bank statements, Gp's letters ...etc
As you are married I guess you will apply as a partner ?
The correct form would be flr fp
Don't forget to add your child British passport and birth certificate aswell,
And good luck with your application
Some people are so poor, the only thing they have is money

Thanks Casa I really do appreciate your reply and my question again is, I was granted leave to remain on ten years route based on parental responsibilities can I apply this time as a partner or I should continue to apply as a parental route? Thanks

hello everyone,

Please help me understand this letter i received from HO yesterday 17th May 2016 dated 15th may 2016 as an acknowledgement letter for my flr(fp) visa extension application posted 18th April 2016 and was received on the 20th April 2016 by HO. The letter states;
Thank you for you application for permission to stay in the UK.
Your application raises issues relating to the European Convention on Human Rights which are complex in nature. As such, it fall outside our normal service standards for deciding leave to remain applications. Please be assured that we will make a decision on your case as quickly as possible.

Gurus has anyone received such acknowledgement letter like this before and what was the out come? since this is my first extension application after i was granted DL leave to remain in November 2013.
Thanks and waiting for your replies

It is a standard letter which means it might take longer than their usual timelines to deal with your application.
