Uk settlement visa documentation from India

Hi,
I am looking to apply my family settlement visa from India on the basis of British citizen family.
My question is on the documents at the time of online application and biometric at VFS centre.
I read various people comments and the process for documentation submitted at Sheffield office too.
Can any one confirm, do I need to provide just photo copies of all docements and orginal passports at biometric time, the rest all the documentation including English language and sponsorship letter as photo copies. The English languages certificate received from Uknaric I have orginal with me in Uk. If orginal required then I will post at Sheffield office through post.
On vfs website they said upload the scan documents and send the documents with courier at Sheffield office.
Please provide your suggestions on the documents photocopies submission are enough during the processing of visa process at VFS centre.
Do I really need to provide the orginal documents for uknaric at biometric time.

Mostly the applicant attends the local vfs centre for enrolling its biometrics as part of application with just the print out of application form and its passport. After biometrics all the rest of the documents such as financial, accommodation, subsisting relationship, tb test, English test, marriage certificate and application forms in original are being sent to Sheffield via Royal mail recorded delivery by the sponsor. But still you should double confirm from your local vfs centre that whether they have same or different way of dealing with the application.

But, my family will apply from India not from here. As sponsor I am in Uk but the originals documents except Uknaric English certificate are with the applicant.
Can I post two separate documents at home office one packet from India and second from uk.

Never send in two packets as mostly they don't get linked and decision will be taken on either of packet. You might get refusal based on missing documents. Preferably gather all documents and send from uk.

Sending photocopies along with original documents is a waste of money practice because HO usually sends back all of these after photopying and uploading themselves. I don't think you will need to upload the documents if you suppose to send the documents to sheffield.
