FLR (M) visa - partner becoming a British Citizen

Post by nc213 » Tue Aug 20, 2019 10:21 pm

Hello,

I have been having trouble navigating the many home office documents, rules and sub-rules, would love some guidance on this topic.

I was granted leave to remain via the five year partner route last year, my partner holds IDLR status. We have been living together for over three years and still meet all the necessary criteria, funds etc. She is about to become a British citizen. Once she does, will I need to re-apply as a dependent? Or will my existing leave to remain as a partner be still valid?

Thanks in advance for your help

All will remain same because partner of settled (ILR/PR holder person/British citizen is same. Just extend it under same route and then after 5 years apply ILR.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.
