Switch from spouse visa to parent visa

I am current in a spouse visa and would like to know if my relationship broken down i would be allowed to switch for a parent visa (as I have the main responsability with our kids) and if the time I have been already in UK will be considered or it will start to count again. For example, I am already 3 years in here under my spouse visa (already did my 1st renew) if I switch for a parent visa would this time be counted or I would need to go trough all the process of 5 years more for apply for a ILR?

If you switch to FLR fp, it resets your clock to either a new 5 year route or if you don't meet the financial requirement it will be the 10 year route.
