Spouse Visa - Financial Requirement - Self Employment - Paypal

Post by readyforarrival » Fri Feb 14, 2020 4:53 pm

I earned just over the £18600 financial threshold last year through self-employment. I understand that to prove this I need to send:

- Bank Statements
- Tax Return
- A "Certificate of Confirmation" from an accountant

My problem here is that whilst most of the money I received was paid through my UK bank account and therefore shows income in GBP, I have a certain amount that was paid through Paypal and even if I can get them to send me a printed statement, I'm not sure if they will accept this as Paypal is not a bank.

Does anyone have experience in sending proof of income via Paypal statements?

Self employment need an extensive range of documents. Read about it here:

From my experience, PayPal is linked to your bank account anyway. I’m not sure how can it be otherwise. Do you have a 100% virtual account?
