Lost Job Due to COVID19- APPENDIX 2 Still Applicable?

Post by allahrasool » Wed Apr 22, 2020 2:42 pm

posting a question on behalf of a cousin who is a British citizen.

His wife is on UK spouse visa and was going to apply for flrm in July- He lost his job due to the current COVID19 situation. he has payslips from December to February but he needs to meet £18.6k income threshold ( 6 payslip from same employer )for his partners spouse visa to be extended. but in current circumstances he wont be able to meet that requirement.

what are his options? ~(its just bad luck , he found a good job after struggling for a few months and then this Covid-19 has happened to the world.)

They have two British children too. and in this difficult time he has had to claim UC .

Request your employer to put you on furlough status where you will still receive 80% of your wages under govt job retention scheme. Otherwise if you have worked previously and have earned at least £18600 during the last 12 months then you may apply under category B if you manage to secure a new job giving you sufficient income.
