Spouse Visa Extension Application Help

Post by nassah2010 » Wed May 20, 2020 2:04 am

Hi all,

I'm helping my wife fill her spouse visa extension application. I'm confused with one bit about the accommodation. There is a question which asks about the nature of the property where we live whether she:
A) Owns it
B) rents it
C) neither owns or rents

Its not clear if this question is addressed to her or both of us.

I own the property and thus pays the mortgage however if the question is addressed to her only would correct option would be C. The document required for C are a letter from the owner to confirm they are happy etc.. The bit that confuses me is why would i write a letter saying im happy for my wife to stay with me? it doesn't make sense.

Mainly the application form asks the questions that are only relevant to applicant only, however, some parts/sections are pacifically designed for sponsor or for both. So the best answer would be A regardless to whoever has it been actually addressing. You won't need to write any noc letter even she is not jointly possessing that property rather simply need to attach the necessary documents such as mortgage statement, title deed and if possible then joint named council tax.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.
