Upper tribunal appeal won

Post by Khans99 » Tue Oct 06, 2020 6:35 pm

Hi guys,

My dad won his appeal for spouse visa at Upper tribunal. He made the application from Pakistan and paid IHS already. Home office have asked him to submit his passport due to decision being overturned.

I just wanted to ask how long does it usually take to get the passport back? I don't know if someone has asked previously but I did check and couldn't find anything.

Many Thanks

You should ask from your local vfs centre, the place where you will/have deposited your passport.

It can take up to 4-6 weeks for you to get the passport back.

Contact your local MP to help escalate it to the caseworker when it is 4 weeks.

You really have to keep on top of it because when you win appeal, it is as if HO is not so happy and delays for as long as they can before they issue the visa. I am talking from experience around me, with 1 taking as long as 14 months before she got her daughter's passport back with visa.

Because that is immaterial to know for an applicant but most likely the passports get tangibly be stamped in native country whilst approval arrive from UK. Aside this, a lot of times these/similar news are disseminated through the web page of the local vfs centre.
