Priority Services in the UK and Pakistan Islamabad

Post by Haliasidd » Tue May 17, 2022 5:30 pm

Hello everyone, I am a British citizen and my fiancé is an Afghan citizen. We are planning to get married then apply for a spouse visa in a few months and I wanted some information about the ‘Priority’ and ‘Super Priority’ services.

Firstly on the GOV.UK website it says that if you are applying from inside the UK you are eligible for the priority services however if you are applying from outside the UK the priority are temporarily suspended due to the Ukrainian crisis. Now what confuses me, is applying from inside the UK referring to online applications or applications submitted in a Visa and Immigration office.

Secondly if I choose to apply online and attend the British High Commission Islamabad in Pakistan for biometrics, does that office have the priority services mentioned above available.

I know my questions aren’t written very well but I hope someone has answers for me. I always receive very useful information from this forum so I look forward to the replies. I would appreciate any help or information you have to provide regarding the matters explained above.

Thank you

You cannot apply for a spouse visa from within the UK for a spouse who is abroad and needs to apply for an entry clearance visa.
or applications submitted in a Visa and Immigration office.
It is an online application for all visas.

You don't submit biometrics at the High Commission. You apply online and then submit biometrics at VFS or TLS, whichever service is in the country applying from.

There is currently no priority for a spouse visa. Many who have applied recently have received emails that it will take longer than 24 or 26 weeks.
