Switching from youth mobility to Family Visa Spouse

Post by Pinchy » Tue Jan 30, 2024 9:19 pm

Hi,

Just a quick question for a family member.

They are looking to switch from youth mobility to family visa as spouse. They are given a 2 year 6 month IHS surcharge amount; however, this is their first visa. When looking on the gov website it says the visa is 2 years 9 months. Is there an error in the application, as they've only paid for the IHS and don't want to commence completely if incorrect.

Thanks

A 2 year and 9 months visa is for applications made outside the uk.

Within the uk on form flr m it is a 2.5 year visa.
