Visa for a child born outside of the UK

Post by Bobi123321 » Thu Aug 29, 2024 12:19 pm

Hi,

Please can I have your opinion about the correct visa category for entry clearance for a child (under 18) who was born to parents with UK immigration status but born outside of the UK to 1 parent who has ILR and 1 parent who has a Dependants visa (eligible for ILR next year). I understand that the child could apply for a Family visa when BOTH parents have ILR (or when one has ILR and one has submitted an ILR application). What visa category would apply for entry clearance for the child who was born outside of the UK to 1 parent with ILR and 1 parent with a Dependants visa?

1 parent who has a Dependants visa
Is this your unmarried partner who apply for FLR(M) last year, having switched from Graduate Route visa?

The child applies for the same visa that your partner is on, a child settlement visa which will be valid till the date of your partners visa.
