Spouse visa on third party

Post by Titchyzee » Fri Jan 14, 2011 5:52 pm

Hi,

It would be very much appreciated if anyone could kindly help me. I have been married for 4 months now to someone from Pakistan.

I have been working before however am currently unemployed, i am not recieving any source of benefits.

I came accross a advisor who told me I can apply for a visa through third party. All memebers of my family work, (6 memebers) they all are willing to help me with the visa. My father accepts me applying on third party and i can provide evidence of sufficients funds, accomodation and assests to prove neither me or my husband will be going on any welfare benefits.

however after asking various people about this type of visa i have been told my husband will not be allowed to apply for settlement, is this true? and why? hopefully as soon as i get a job can i not change the visa type to civil partnership as i can then provide payslips?

It would be very much appreciated it anyone can advise me on what to do, may i add this forum has been very helpful and would ask for people to continue posting there experiences and what they have done to overcome any barriers.

Thank You

Your post is confusing. Civil Parnership is for the same gender partnerships. Does this apply to you? Although 3rd party financial support has been successful through the courts the UKBA regulations haven't changed on this, which means you may face a refusal but then stand a reasonal chance of success if you took this to appeal.

Assuming you're British or settled, then see also 3rd Party Support & Accommodation.

Hi thank you for your response. No such thing as third party visa. You spouse needs to apply for a spouse visa and rely on third party support
