Disabled and moving to UK with spouse

Post by modob » Wed Jan 18, 2012 5:01 am

I am a British citizen and been registered disabled there since 1994. I have been unable to work and have had recourse to public funds. It was a very lonley life and after several years of fatigue and depression, I was diagnosed with resistive HBP of a temperate nature.

For the past five years, I have had to live in Nigeria every UK winter period. I met a woman here three years ago and we'll soon be married. I would not want to return to the UK without her.

My main enquiry is that is there any exception to the rule that one must be able to work in order to bring a wife to the UK, is there any exception for disabled people.

Thank you.

See also Disabled Sponsor. There is no rule saying that you have to work. Your wife may work too.
