Unable to track paper application using online system. Several calls to HMPO for updates, none particularly informative other than to confirm receipt. Sole contact received from HMPO was documents being sent back, SMS to book identity interview, and identity interview. Claimed citizenship on the basis of descent from grandparent in Crown/designated service. Application made while in UK on visitor visa. Nerve-wracking wait but mercifully shorter than the advised 10 week standard. 4/5 stars, in large part because application was successful and shorter than expected processing time.
