If you have an in-country right of appeal, then appealing may give you more time to finish your course.
Whether or not you will be banned from re-entering for a certain period depends on how they will treat this refusal in the future. A
change in circumstances or purpose probably shouldn't affect future applications. However, if they treat this as
deception in obtaining your previous entry clearance, then you may be banned for
10 years.
So, it may make sense to also clear this point up in the appeal.
