Unable to get Appointment to apply for a Work Permit

Hi All,

I am frustrated with getting an appointment from local Ausländerbehörde, I am living in Essen since 3 years n it use to be walkin thing till 2 years ago to get your visa extended/changed. Now recently I got a job contract and want to apply for Aufenthaltstitel/Arbeiterlaubnis n trying from last two weeks to get an appointment from Essen-Ausländerbehörde but no luck. I tried to call but woman says book online and when book online no confirmation or acknowledgment since two weeks. I tried to explain to her over the phone but she says it takes little time and when I ask how long on average she says I don't know, I even tried to go personally but they dont let enter anyone without appointment. I sent emails on all emails mentioned on their website but no avail. I got completely frustrated, dont know what to do and how to proceed.

Is here anyone been in similar situation then please share the experience.
