Cyprus and UK

Post by Ellette » Fri Mar 07, 2014 3:45 pm

Hi all. I'm Lithuanian National residing in Cyprus for few years now, my husband is Syrian and he hold eu family member certificate issued in Cyprus, they call it Yellow Slip over here. The Question is : Can we travel to UK together? Will he need a special permit issued by UK embassy here? Or can we travel as family without any special permits? Does Yellow Slip gives us a right to travel without visa? I'm feeling confused. Thank you for any advice and info.

In theory no visa is required. In practice you will need one as the airline would want to see a visa. The visa (EEA Family Permit) should be issued free of charge.
